MG Monoguide Series
Many types of modern industrial machines, especially machine tools, require linear guidance systems with high precision and rigidity, low heat generation and vibration, compactness and a wide range of configurations. All Rosa Sistemi linear guides meet these requirements, in particular the MG Monoguide series of roller guides.
MG Monoguide series linear guides are an advanced technical solution for high-tech industries and linear guides for CNC machines. Optimised raceway profile geometry, logarithmic profile rollers, integrated optimised rail lubrication system have significantly improved the technical and economic performance of linear roller guides.
The second generation of MG Monoguide linear guides is a new development by Rosa in the field of linear motion for applications in high-tech industries that require ultra-high system rigidity, ultra-high precision and ultra-high vibration absorption. Over 40 years of experience, careful analysis of existing solutions and continuous engineering research have enabled the company to create a completely new generation of roller profile guidance systems.
The use of geometrically optimised raceways and logarithmic profile cylindrical rollers provides 50% higher rigidity and vibration resistance than previous generations of roller guides on the market, while an advanced lubrication system has significantly improved the technical and economic performance of the system.

The carriages in the MG Monoguide series use the latest technology: integrated porous polymer inserts for extended carriage lubrication intervals, four grease nipple holes on each side of the carriage for easy lubrication, and a complete set of side, bottom and internal seals in the basic carriage for increased resistance to contaminated environments. In addition, the MG Monoguide carriage seals are made of Hydrogenated Butadiene Acrylonitrile Rubber (HNBR), a special material with increased oil resistance, ozone resistance and significant wear resistance.
The main objective of these guideway innovations is to reduce labour and material costs in every possible application. LM guides can be used wherever high load capacity, rigidity and reliability are required, which is particularly important in machine tool applications.
Key features and benefits of MG Monoguide roller profile linear guides:
- Rigidity, strength and precision for improved manufacturing processes. The MG Monoguide roller profile LM Guide has four rows of cylindrical rollers arranged in an O-shape with four raceways at a 45° angle to the base of the guide. This arrangement optimises load distribution in all four directions and complies with ISO 14728. This feature provides a high degree of design flexibility. The ability to withstand high loads and moments makes these guides ideal for the most demanding applications.
- Optimally shaped roller guides. The geometry and profile of the linear roller guides have been calculated for each of the roller preload values, thus increasing the allowable guide loads and achieving high accuracy.
- Logarithmic profile rollers. The rollers are manufactured according to the latest advances rolling elements theory, ensuring high rigidity, precision, maximum load capacity and long life.
- Innovative lubrication system for the LM rail. Lubricant is supplied to the LM rail end lubrication unit via shut-off valves mounted on both LM rails, preventing lubricant leakage during operation. This ensures that the lubricant is distributed evenly with minimum consumption.
- The lubricant supply point in the roller guides can be selected. Each end lubrication unit of the roller guides is equipped with four grease nipples: two at the side, one at the front and one at the top. Smooth carriage motion.
- The smooth shape of the recirculation channels of the rollers and the rolling surfaces of the carriage minimise pulsation, resulting in reduced rolling resistance.
- Innovative carriage design. Careful design of the plastic carriage components has reduced internal mechanical interactions in the recirculating carriage system, increasing service life and reliability.
- Protection of internal carriage mechanisms.
Linear rail carriages are protected by longitudinal and transverse seals to ensure reliable sealing in contaminated environments.
- Component interchangeability. Tight dimensional tolerances ensure that the slides are interchangeable. Either side of a profiled rail can be used as a reference surface.
- Additional protection for different applications. Additional wipers and seals can be fitted to the LM system on request.
- Durable lubrication. A special additional element extends the lubrication life of the LM system. This saves the purchase of a lubrication station and ensures high bearing stability.
- Anti-corrosion coating. Carriages and raceways can be given a protective chromium coating and then hardened to increase the life of linear guides and industrial equipment in general.
- Protective metal strips. The protective strips are installed instead of caps and cover the fixing holes, significantly reducing assembly time and facilitating cleaning of the working surface and carriage movement in general.
- Modular concept for customised solutions. Different applications have different requirements in terms of load, precision and environmental protection. For this reason, Rosa Sistemi MG Monoguide roller guides use modular components to create cost-effective solutions according to the needs of the specific application. Different classes of accuracy and preload are available to satisfy different needs. In addition, a wide range of accessories allows adaptation to specific environmental conditions.
- Interchangeability and worldwide availability.
The basic dimensions of all Rosa Sistemi profile guides comply with ISO 12090-1. This guarantees dimensional interchangeability with all ISO-compliant brands. Rosa's global sales and distribution network, as part of the world-leading Rollon by Timken team, now ensures parts availability and serviceability for all linear systems worldwide.
Typical applications for the MG Monoguide Roller Guide include machining centres, turning, grinding and milling machines, metal forming presses and many other industrial machines with high precision and load carrying requirements.
Other typical applications:
- Robotic systems and coordinate tables
- Plastic injection moulding
- Woodworking
- Printing
- Packaging lines
- Medical technology
- Machine tool building
These applications take full advantage of the wide range of possibilities offered by MG Monoguide linear motion systems. In most cases, MG Monoguide Linear Guides are supplied assembled with the carriages mounted on the rails at the factory, ensuring high quality, maximum rigidity and precision of the system.

Rosa Sistemi Srl high precision prismatic linear guides
Rosa Sistemi Srl designs and manufactures Prismatic Linear Guides, which are high precision linear motion products, ideal for use in a wide range of machine tools, machining centres, material handling systems and special machines, as well as in measuring and testing equipment.
These high precision linear guides are available in various designs, sizes and standard lengths, with integrated balls, rollers or needle rollers and sliding coating. They are supplied with the necessary accessories for fixing and sealing.
The use of Rosa high precision prismatic guides makes it possible to create cost-effective, gap-free linear guidance systems of virtually any type and length, using the building block principle. The characteristics of the guides include:
- Constant and high running accuracy
- Low friction, no slippage
- High travel speeds
- Low heat generation
- Low wear and high reliability
- High rigidity
- Excellent load capacity
GR prismatic linear guides with crossed rollers or balls
This type of guide is designed for rollers and balls. Rollers have the advantage of a much higher load carrying capacity. On the other hand, balls have the advantage of lower running forces, are less sensitive to contamination and can better compensate for deficiencies in the adjacent structure.
In bearings for linear GR systems, either rollers or balls can be used as rolling elements. There is a significant difference between the two in terms of load carrying capacity. The ratio is approximately 10 to 1 in favour of rollers, depending on the size considered. Balls are more suitable where there is contamination and/or misalignment, such as where the structure to which the rails are attached is not strong enough to support them and the rails are therefore not in the correct position. Such systems have a good load capacity depending on the cross-section, length and relative travel. They use a variety of cages and end pieces depending on the application.
The standard range of these products includes linear guides with lengths from 20 to 1200 mm, overall heights from 8.5 to 58 mm, widths from 4 to 28 mm and weights from 2 g to 6.29 kg. The height of a linear rail section ranges from 3.9 to 25.9 mm.
NG Prismatic LM Guide with Cross Rollers
This type of product represents the modern evolution of the GR type of guideway and consists in creating guideways which, despite their smaller section, have better characteristics in terms of load capacity and therefore rigidity. This new type of LM Guide, called NG, also has two different sections with standard dimensions ranging from 50 to 400 mm in length, 19 to 25 mm in height, 9 to 12 mm in width and 27 to 368 g in weight.
RM/RV Prismatic LM Guide with Needle Rollers and Cage
The same calculation criteria used for the GR model are used for the RM/RV model. However, it is necessary to take into account the different characteristics of the GR type rail: - Higher load ratings. - Higher rigidity. - Better roller overlap, especially with short strokes. - Greater sensitivity to installation errors and contamination.
M/V prismatic linear guides with special coated sliding surfaces
The M/V Prismatic LM Guides are coated with a special sliding material on the sliding surfaces and retain the same characteristics as the RVA models. The dimensions are the same as those of the GR type, but the rigidity of the system is significantly increased. These slides are mainly used to eliminate vibrations in the system.
Various models of these slides are available with sliding widths of 0.3, 0.6, 1.2 and 1.6 cm. The permissible specific load per cm2 is 4500 N (dynamic) and 7500 N (static).
RM/RVA prismatic linear guides with sliding track coating
This type of guidance system complements the RM/RV guidance system. The rails of the RVA are coated with a special anti-friction material. This type of guidance system is used for relatively low speeds (max. 20 m/min) and critical system stiffness. A set can consist of two RM guides and two RVA guides. The RVA and RV guides are interchangeable in size. To ensure correct system operation, the operating temperature must be below +50°C. The permissible load per cm2 per LM Guide is between 4500 N (dynamic) and 7500 N (static). Lubrication holes and oil grooves are available on request.

GRD double raceway prismatic linear guides
The GRD dual raceway prismatic linear guides have been designed to simplify system assembly and increase system rigidity. These prismatic guides can be used with the top of the TR and TRL linear coordinate tables to increase cost efficiency. GRD guideways are an integral part of TRKD systems equipped with RK ball recirculating carriages.
RK ball recirculating linear unit
The RK linear units with ball recirculation consist of three main parts. The first is a hardened steel central housing (hardness HRC 60 ± 2) to support the load. The balls travel along the V-shaped raceway of the LM rail and are retained by a polyamide block that prevents them from falling out and provides directional control. Ball units combined with GR or GRD slides provide linear motion limited only by the length of the slides themselves.
It is important to note that a linear system with a prismatic guideway with lateral raceways and recirculating ball units allows multiple units to be used with independent motion.
Maximum block speed: 120 m/min.
Maximum block acceleration: 50 m/sec.

Standard high precision single axis linear co-ordinate tables of the TR series
These high precision products belong to the class of mechanical positioning devices and are essential components of modern mechatronic systems.
The TR range of linear co-ordinate tables is a complete product based on the GR range of high precision linear guides. They are high precision, fully calibrated solutions ready for immediate installation in equipment. Accuracy and preload are factory set and require no user intervention. A large number of mounting holes in the base and top of the table maximise installation time.
Depending on the size range, TR1-2 tables are manufactured in steel and TR3-6-9 tables in cast iron. They are carefully machined or cast to ensure high accuracy of motion.
Tables are standardised for stroke lengths from 10 to 950 mm and loads from 250 to 48100 N. Standard mounting holes are provided in the base. Each table uses guides and bases suitable for its application.
TR tables in size 9 can be fitted with high precision RM/RV or RM/RVA guides to increase the load capacity of the table.
TR tables can also be ordered in a corrosion resistant version. In this case, the base and table, between which the stainless steel guides are mounted, are made of aluminium rather than steel.
Despite their compact dimensions, TR tables are extremely rigid and have excellent load-bearing characteristics.
Standard high precision single axis linear co-ordinate tables of the TRL series
The TRL series linear co-ordinate tables are manufactured from light alloy.
What has been said above about the TR series linear tables is fully applicable to the TRL series light alloy tables. However, there are some differences in size and load capacity. Some tables in this range, labelled TRL1, TRL3 and TRL6, have lower table heights.
The TRL6 range has two additional sizes compared to its cast iron counterpart, the TR6. The TRL3 range has four additional sizes. The load and weight ratings are lower than the TR series. As a result, TRL tables are designed to move with greater acceleration as their mass and therefore inertia is lower. TRL Series tables are provided with mounting holes.
TRKD High Precision Low Friction Linear Coordinate Tables
TRKD tables consist of an aluminium alloy carriage containing two recirculating linear ball bearings. This unit is mounted on a high precision linear prismatic double sided GRD guide.
This design provides a long travel range, limited only by the length of the rail. The design of the GRD rail has already been described. Obviously, the performance of this system is directly related to the type of LM Guide used.
Nominal load values range from 850 N to 3300 N and the maximum speed is 120 m/min. The maximum acceleration is 50 m/sec2. Multiple tables can be mounted on the rail. The height of the system can be adjusted and coupled when ordering.
Modular high precision single-axis linear coordinate tables TV
On the basis of series linear co-ordinate tables, the company manufactures modular TV single-axis high-precision linear co-ordinate tables for assembling multi-axis units with X, Y, Z axes of motion. The module consists of high-precision prismatic linear guides with cross rollers, driven by a ball screw or electric motor with computer programme control and a protective housing. The modules have high precision, rigidity and load capacity.
