NTN's Advanced Security Label contains a holographic stripe, a background with outline micro-symbols and a unique bearing ID encrypted in a Matrix 2D QR Code. Matrix 2D QR Code is a type of barcode and is a registered trademark of Denso Wave Incorporated of Japan.
Step 1. Verify the authenticity of the bearing using a smartphone and NTN's special "Authenti Bear" software.
NTN's special "Authenti Bear" software application, designed for smartphones with Android and iPhone operating systems, allows customers to easily verify the authenticity of the bearing by reading the two-dimensional matrix QR code printed on the label.
By displaying on the smartphone screen the conventional name and the serial number of the NTN bearing, officially registered in the manufacturer's database and contained in the scanned two-dimensional matrix QR code, the application allows you to actually confirm its authenticity and determine its technical data.
The "Authenti Bear" software application is only intended to check the product against those contained in the NTN Corporation database. This match is not a 100% guarantee of the product's authenticity, but it does make it possible to better protect the product against counterfeiting.

Step 2. Check for the presence of random micro-symbols on the background of the label.
The background of the security label is made up of outline micro-symbols placed in a random order, which cannot be read with the naked eye. These symbols on the label of genuine products are clearly visible with a magnifying glass and are not blurred.
Step 3. Check the two-colour symbols in the hologram stripe.
The security label uses a hologram stripe that is very difficult to counterfeit. On genuine products, when the label is rotated 90° in one plane, the colours of the symbols in the hologram change from white to black.
